DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR (She/Her/Hers)

Alexis Martin (she/her) is a development operations professional and dance artist from Long Beach, CA. After graduating from Long Beach public schools, she received a Posse Foundation Scholarship to Tulane University, where she completed a Bachelor Degree in Public Health and Dance. 

In both her education and career, she places great consideration on the social determinants of health and is committed to discerning the conditions that cultivate and sustain a healthy and interconnected community and understanding the role that dance, movement, and creation plays within communities.

Prior to joining Confluence Rising, she focused on connecting with grassroots donors and deepened her understanding of the mechanisms that enable non-profits to sustain their programs while working in development at DigDeep. Before that, she focused on community access to arts and wellness throughout her internships and spent time teaching trauma-informed guided movement classes for a women’s shelter and mental health professionals with BODYART Dance.
