Honoring Katherine Miller

Katherine was a true advocate for human rights her whole life, including making it possible for her wonderful children Cheryl and Chris to attend Brotherhood Sisterhood Camp (now called Building Bridges Camp). The Miller family volunteered for years after attending, and we are so grateful for their involvement.

Camp is a unique three-day, overnight retreat that empowers young people to be leaders for change in their communities. You can honor Katherine with a donation and allow more youth to attend this inspiring opportunity.

We are humbled for the Miller family’s support during this challenging time. We are thinking of them and wishing all Katherine’s loved ones peace throughout this transition.

Confluence Rising (formerly the California Conference for Equality and Justice or CCEJ) has been building a world where people live free of oppression and thrive.  Our mission is to educate and empower youth and adults to lead change for equity and justice in our communities. Originally established in 1963 as the Long Beach chapter of the National Conference for Christians and Jews (NCCJ), Confluence Rising continues a 63 year history of advocating for a more inclusive world.
